3 Month Author
This is NOT a guarantee that you will have a novel completely written and edited in three months, but, it is possible. What I am promising: 12+ weeks of support while you write (or rewrite) and a full developmental edit of your draft!
Build, Write, or Revise With Me
Whether you’re still brainstorming and planning your book, you’re writing a first or second draft, or you’re performing revisions, I come alongside you in this package to lift you up and push you forward.
What this package provides:
Part One-
Weekly review of up to 10k words for first 8 weeks
For the first 8 weeks, you can send me UP TO 10k words to either review prior to our weekly meeting, or just after, depending on your needs. I will NOT do a comprehensive developmental edit on them, but I will take editorial notes, as I would for an editorial letter, and send them to you. These will help guide you as you continue to write or revise so that when the full manuscript arrives on my desk, the full developmental edit is as helpful as it can possibly be.
Weekly ideation session for first 8 weeks, up to 1.5 hours each
Every week we will meet online or via phone to discuss your book. We can work on any aspect of your book, or your writing, that you would like to. We will fill plot holes, develop character arcs, kill the darlings, scratch scenes, and learn tricks of the editorial trade together. These sessions are magic, I promise.
Goal support
Also known as accountability, this gives you a reason to make progress every week. If you’re like me, setting goals and deadlines is sometimes the only way to get things finished. I can discuss your goals with you, help you set them, and help you keep your eye on the prize. The weekly sessions help to provide a deadline for the reviews.
Text or email support weekdays for 8 weeks
With a (generally) 24hr response window, you can send me questions or run ideas by me throughout the week! Get fired up during our meetings and stay fired up with my continued support. You are not doing this alone.
Part Two-
Finished draft comprehensive developmental edit
After the first 8 weeks, during which time you crank out your manuscript or revise like your pen is on fire, you can turn your manuscript over to me for a full developmental edit of up to 100k words (if your manuscript is longer than that, additional turnaround time and fees will be discussed). This includes an editorial letter and style sheet and will take the remaining 3-4 weeks. Learn more about my developmental editing here.
I will schedule this edit separately from the 8 weeks, according to my availability when you book this package. This allows you time on your own between part one (the 8 weeks of support) and part two (my developmental edit) to apply any notes or knock out the rest of your draft (or rewrite it entirely - up to you) before turning it over to me. This helps you to get the most out of your developmental edit and allows me flexibility to schedule the edit according to my availability.
I repeat, the edit is not necessarily going to occur immediately after we wrap up the first 8 weeks. There will be time between part one and part two of this package and the time depends on my availability to perform a full developmental edit.
A final debrief
After the comprehensive developmental edit, we will meet to discuss my notes, your next steps, and anything else related to your book. This will be a one hour meeting.
Text or email access for questions during the 4 week edit
I look forward to helping you and your novel develop!

Who is This For?
If you are a writer working on your first, second, tenth or twentieth book, you are welcome.
This package best serves an author who wants an exclusive experience during the early stages of your manuscript that will:
help you to keep going when you feel stuck.
encourage you to keep writing when you doubt yourself.
help you to generate ideas, think through character arcs, plot lines, world-building or anything else that requires idea generation and brainstorming, or mapping your book.
help you plan, plot, or find your sweet spot in between (are you a pantser, plotter, or somewhere in the middle?).
help you determine what kind of writing routine suits you best (right now!) and how to adapt it as your life changes.
answer your questions as they come up.
provide both craft and writing advice (I have absolutely been known to up and create whole PDF downloads + workbooks for clients on specific topics they need help with!).
provide a light structure by offering sessions to be prepared for with your manuscript.
provide a developmental edit to push your manuscript to be even better so that your next round of edits will be even more effective (who doesn’t like more bang for their buck, both currently and in the future? It’s a gift that keeps on giving!).
Who is This NOT For?
People not actively writing, plotting, or developing a book.
Writers who don’t like getting feedback. I can be kind about my critiques all day long, but if all you hear is criticism, then it will be hard for you to apply even the best, most lovingly offered advice.
Writers who aren’t sure if they want to finish their book. You won’t be able to get the final developmental edit if I do not have a full draft (or it will be partial).
Writers who want a line or copy edit instead of a developmental edit + manuscript review + support throughout early drafting, redrafting, or self-edits.
Authors looking for a developmental edit of their poetry book (I love a good poem and poetic writing styles, but deeply editing a whole book of poetry makes me dizzy). However, I can help writers find their optimal structure for a poetry book - called a structural edit (and have done so with other clients, and thoroughly enjoyed doing so). I suggest booking a free consultation with me. Click one of the “book now” buttons to apply for a consultation.
Writers of medical manuscripts - I can help plan structure and development, but I have not been trained to edit these in the way best suited to their needs. I suggest booking a free consult to discuss your needs and my connections or an ideation session to work on high level structural planning and development. Click one of the “book now” buttons to apply for a consultation.
People who are bothered by my AI cat pictures. You don’t have to love them, I do.
This kind of a package usually costs a pretty penny, it’s true. However, I keep my costs as transparent as possible so that you always understand exactly what something costs and why it is priced the way it is. My own mentors advise me not to be so transparent, or to at least not explain, but I am one of those who always prefers to have all information possible. And if you read this, I’m assuming you are, too.
For the full 12 weeks, the program cost is $3,760
This can be paid in full at the beginning of your program or paid in installments as follows:
Three payments of $1,254 with the first payment occurring before any work begins, the second at six weeks, and the third before our final meeting in the twelfth week.
Every two weeks $538, with the first payment occurring before any work begins and the rest on a regular two week basis, with the final payment made in the twelfth week (seven payments total).
There is no price markup for paying in installments, although a 10-20% is market standard, so I may change this in the future. Act sooner rather than later to lock in this price.
That’s:
8 online meetings ~up to 1.5 hours each
8 reviews of up to 10k words
8 weeks of on-call support via email or text during workdays
And1 full developmental edit of up to 100k words in 4 weeks, scheduled separately
For just $3,760. Most developmental edits, on their own, cost the same or more. You will receive by the end of Part Two (the edit):
A full developmental edit with notes in the manuscript - both in-line and in the margins with track changes enabled
A comprehensive, in depth, editorial letter
A style sheet

FAQs
-
That's ok! We can discuss scenes, plot, world-building, concerns you may have regarding the book in any way, or work on the writing together for the whole hour and a half. Besides, I can review what you HAVE, even if it's 200 words, then use the rest of our time in whatever way is going to help you most for the next week.
OR,
In some circumstances, I can extend these first eight weeks to sixteen. Which means that we will meet every TWO weeks and I will review up to 10,000 words every TWO weeks. The final four weeks will remain the same and will still be reserved for the developmental edit and final debrief. This will extend the package to twenty weeks as opposed to the original twelve.
In this case, we will need to discuss this timeline alteration during your consultation, BEFORE we begin our work together.
The price remains the same. Payment plans will reflect this extension, extending payments alongside the timeline of the package. One more payment plan options becomes available in this case: Pay in 4. This means that each payment of $940 is expected in week 1, week 8, week 16, and week 20.
-
That's great! If you want to reserve my time for a future date, I will expect a non-refundable first payment according to your payment plan choice upon signing the contract and entering the program (even if you will begin it later).
-
Yes and no. I do not formally coach just one's writing, but I do help authors develop their style and write more confidently. I do not coach on grammar, syntax, sentence structure, punctuation, spelling, or formatting (although little things may apply at some points, like discussing en versus em dashes, or how to format text messages as opposed to regular dialogue). My zone of genius lies in the build and structure of worlds, stories, characters, and writing style.
-
Not at this time. However, if you truly desire to work with me and get that book out to the world, discuss your needs with me and we can see if we can work something out.
-
Not yet! If you want to get on my list as an interested party, book a consultation, discuss your needs with me, and I'll add you to a short list.
OR,
If you have an interested group (such as a writer's group), book a consultation with me and we will work out a custom package so that each member (and book) gets some individual time with me as well as the group.
-
Yes! However, if you need more ideation sessions in order for each author to have personal time, then we can discuss additional meetings of up to an hour and a half each, for +$55 each.
-
Awesome! I'm happy to help. We can add more sessions for +$55 each, as my availability allows, for up to 1.5 hours each.
